Narn G'Quan cruisers(link is external) are perhaps my favourite ships in Babylon 5 series(link is external), which is full of excellent ship designs. It was only matter of time before I had to build a few of my own - finding A Call to Arms(link is external) -game helped in this, even if I didn't like the game a lot after all.
This article shows you construction process of my scratchbuilt Babylon 5 Omega destroyers phase by phase. The finished models are a bit less than 3" long. If you are planning to construct one of your own, you can use image on this(link is external) page as reference and scale.
Session 2 of Savage Worlds / CyberPunk campaign; a group of friends and their friends have formed a troubleshooting company, hoping to get from low-level guard missions and dirty jobs to high-level corporate gigs. The name of the company is Trouble Inc.
Buying games online as pdf's is today's reality. While no electronic or self-printed version is worth having a good solid book in hands, checking a product beforehand in cheaper electronic format or having a searchable copy of the book is real luxury. I myself value searchability a lot - sometimes when I'm tired and have been working too much on computers I mentally try to click a book's search dialog open when preparing a roleplaying session...
Hello again,
the development continues busy and while there is many things I'd like to tell you about, I'd like test them some more before going public with many game features I'm really excited about!
Point buy is a traditional method for building fleets, armies, warbands whatever a miniature game's team is called - it is simple, and generally - it works. There are problems with it, though; first, in most games it allows builds that are somehow unbalanced and often very unthematic - something that isn't very desirable in games that try to embrace thematic play. Second, it always takes invaluable game time to build your team, especially if you're trying to play competitively.
My cyberpunk campaign finally started! The start wasn't as well as I hoped, as only two of the six players could make it to the session. Nevertheless, the session was fun and lethalness of the system was well seen.
I've been wondering if 'Miniature game' is a correct term for Epsilon. I'm may keep using that term as it does well describe the game, but another name came to me a while ago; Print, cut & glue -type items are generally called 'Papercraft'. So perhaps, one term - maybe the best? that could be used to call the game is 'a papercraft game'.
As a note for RSS feed orderers, e2o website will be moved soon. The new site is up already at address but the official moving of the site will happen a bit later. It will be announced in the newsletter and redirection will be added to this page.
As a preview for the game, and a freebie for Beta edition owners, I give you mines. Mines have place in almost any space fiction, and it does fit especially well in the new cold war.
Once again, I feel like kicking down the anthill. I'm happy I decided to drop the fighters away from the beta edition, as fighter rules are undergoing very large transformation. Now I' beginning to feel that they are intuitive, fast and work very well. Troop combat has also been completely reformed, and finally the numbers feel like matching. Sometimes simpliest solutions work best - it just takes a long journey before reaching enlightment.
